We have available a number of volunteer roles in connection with our Heritage Listing Project. Please see more information below:
Role One: Project Information & Display Coordination
Objectives of the volunteer role:
To volunteer throughout the two years of the project if possible
To update information, leaflets, display materials and presentations
To attend fairs and events distributing information and answering questions
Meet with Project Promotion volunteers to update them as required
Role Two: Volunteer Project Promotion
Objectives of the volunteer role:
To volunteer within one of the identified projects areas prior to the Project launch in that area to research groups and individuals living and working in that area
To distribute posters and leaflets within your community advertising the Rossendale Heritage Asset Listing Project and the three meetings/information events
To promote the project explaining the meaning of Community Heritage as needed
To attend community meeting (Monday afternoon) which explains the project in detail
To attend the Heritage and History talk in your area (Saturday 2.00 till 4.00pm) that highlights the history that surrounds various assets
To attend Community Asset Management training event (Saturday 10.00am till 1.30pm) which explains how to take control of an asset if necessary
To introduce yourselves to other attendees at the meeting
To be available immediately following the meetings to answer any questions and give further information
